Why Go Green?

As one of the few lawn care companies in West Chester to use 100% organic fertilizers, potential customers often ask ‘why.’ Most people recognize the importance of preserving the community but don’t often understand why a company would go through the trouble of utilizing reduced-risk products and processes. Read what Chris, one of our lawn care experts, has to say about Go Green’s passion for all things green.

Why does Go Green use organic products in their services?

We originally became interested in seeking out organic solutions because the market demanded family-friendly lawn care services. At the time, there weren’t enough lawn care companies in the area supplying true reduced-risk services. We wanted to blaze the trail and expand on it by providing services that were not only family-friendly but also safer for the environment. We wanted to be able to satisfy a need while being a socially conscious company in our community.  

How did you decide on Holganix products? Do you feel as though the product helps differentiate you from competitors? 

We decided to use Holganix because we had the local, small businesses thing in common. We also had a shared interest in organic alternatives, so it was a natural partnership in our minds. We definitely believe that Holganix helps differentiate our company from other lawn care companies in the area.  We believe that Holganix is a great company with core values and gives us product information readily, which in turn we can pass on to our customers.  This is unique and greatly appreciated in this market.    

Approximately how many customers call specifically because you use eco-friendly products in many of your services?

Approximately 40% of our current customers initially called because they were interested in learning more about our organic lawn care programs. It’s really pretty incredible how many people consider the importance of environmentally responsible business practices prior to making a purchase.

What are you doing to continue the “Go Green” movement?

As we continue to grow and improve, we are always keeping our ear to the ground looking for new products, methods, and businesses that are committed to using reduced-risk products as we are. We also want to help spread the word to other industry operators – or business owners in general – because we recognize that it’s not always the easiest business plan, but it’s critical to the sustainability of our customers’ lawns, our business, industry, and the environment.
